It was expensive but we figured it was a once in a lifetime experience. We took the sunset wind dancer trip and it was amazing- so pleased we took this option ahead of the 11 hour bus trip!
We also managed to book a show to see David copperfield using half price tiiks- despite performing twice a night for close to 20 years we thought his performance was incredible!
He is a great entertainer! We ate at a range of places but particularly enjoyed the breakfasts at los cantina salsa- the Mexican scramble was delicious!
It is easy to use public transport to get around Vegas - from a shopping point of view we preferred the northern outlet shopping centre.
Our trip to the Hoover Dam was excellent, touring the different hotels was great. Our meals were excellent at CarlosCharlies, Hash Hash Brown, etc.
The persons selling Time Shares were annoying after awhile. Before we had a chance to check-in our room at the Flamingo, they stopped us going to the elevators offering a free buffet for 5 of us the next morning before a visit to their office.
We could not get a free breakfast and had to cancel our visit because they did not accept my 46 years old son to go with me to take the place of my husband who was ill in the room.
It is very easy to get around by foot. Unfortunately we did not get around to take the ON and OFF BUS tours or the MONORAIL.
We didn't like what we thought we would i. The strip at first Vegas is all hustle and we're sheep to be fleeced and we are. Everything is designed to give you the least for your buck that they can.
Gambling doesn't subsidize anything. The Mob Museum is great and it looked a lot better then. Food is overpriced for what you get shows give you nothing more than they say and they mostly look like they're going through the motions for a dollar or many.
Once you get away from that it's s uniquely interesting city with lots to experience. The beautiful desert parks Red Rocks and fire Canyon are awesome.
Some great restaurants and bars to find but they're not on the strip. There's good shopping too but again where the locals go. I really enjoy Las Vegas.
Some things are quite pricey, but there is a lot do if you do not want to spend so much, so it caters for everyone. Be ready for a lot of walking, because there is a lot to see and experience.
Taxis are expensive, but there is a bus service that runs which is not too much. They should consider to make an option for like a week to buy a RTC card for the bus, it will work out much better.
There are, at times, some really scrappy characters on the bus and on the strip, which is never a good thing.
It might also be increasing just a bit, so always be alert. Definitely worth a visit, perhaps a couple of times Food was good and wait staff attentive and pleasant.
Fremont street entertainmant and activities close. Also a short walk to Both the express bus and the local bus. The El Cort6 casino has everything.
A nice selection of Gaming machines plus frienly dealers. Parking was free at El Cortez but it made much more sense to walk to the bus stop and go from casino to casino on the strip by bus.
That saved a lot of time and money. Many casinos charge for parking. Plus that, finding the parking and finding your way back to the parking at the other casinos was time consuming as well as expressive.
City busses were fast, clean and safe. We will definitely stay at the El Cortez on our next visit to Las Vegas. Very clean and comfortable rooms from the TV to the tub in the bathroom.
Fridge and Microwave is a double bonus also. Thanks for such elegance and luxurious stay. The location was perfect to attend the CES I have nothing to complain about the service.
Everything was nice and clean. Staffs always served you with a smile. Excellent location, staff is exceptionally friendly.
